Itinerary

Our (Seba Tours Egypt) tour guide will meet you at the hotel, then picking you up in a day tour Coptic Cairo”. Starting with the "Hanging Church" which is one of the most famous Churches in Egypt. It dates back to the 3rd Century AD and it was dedicated to Virgin Mary, it’s named "The Hanging" for its location above the gatehouse of the ancient Roman fortress "Babylon”. It contains impressive Holy icons depicting beautiful religious scenes.

After that, visiting "Saint Sergius and Bacchus Church" or (Known also as Abu Serga Church). The church owes its fame to having been constructed upon the crypt of the Holy Family where they stayed at the end of their journey into Egypt.

The Last place to visit at Coptic Cairo is the "Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra" which was built on the remains of the basilica of a Coptic church that had been sold to Jews. It gained its importance from its Geniza (Store room) which was found during the 19th century containing a treasure of abandoned Hebrew secular and sacred manuscripts.

After that, proceeding to witness one of the beautiful Coptic buildings in Cairo, The Monastery of St. Simon the Tanner , also known as “The Cave Church”. It’s situated in el Mokattam hills district near the Garbage City or (Zabbaleen slum) due to the large population of garbage collectors, that live there , and garbage recycling is the main industry to its population's economy. the Monastery of St. Simon the Tanner is the largest church in the Middle East. it has an amphitheater with a seating capacity of 20,000. The Monastery is associated with the legend of the moving of the Mokattam Mountain.

Then, going to have some rest at el Azahar Park which is situated on a hilly spot in the heart of old historic Cairo and commanding stunning panoramic views of the world's most intriguing city. You will find There also some exquisite restaurants if you prefer to have a meal in front of this great view.

After this amazing tour you will be transferred to your hotel.
