Our (Seba Tours Egypt) tour guide will escort you by an air-conditioned vehicle to visit one of the Great and Stunning constructions in Islamic Cairo “The Citadel of Saladin Al Ayouby”. Which is located near Mokattam Hill. It was established in 12th century to defend Cairo against the Crusaders campaigns. The citadel was used as the ruling center of Egypt during the medieval ages. On the same area of the Citadel, you will witness the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha which is situated on the highest spot inside the courtyard of the Citadel of Saladin. It’s considered one of the landmarks in Cairo with its huge space, the beautiful ornaments on its sides and walls, and its magnificent domes and minarets.
After that, proceeding to witness one of the beautiful Coptic buildings in Cairo, The Monastery of St. Simon the Tanner , also known as “The Cave Church”. It’s situated in el Mokattam hills district near the Garbage City or (Zabbaleen slum) due to the large population of garbage collectors, that live there , and garbage recycling is the main industry to its population's economy. the Monastery of St. Simon the Tanner is the largest church in the Middle East. it has an amphitheater with a seating capacity of 20,000. The Monastery is associated with the legend of the moving of the Mokattam Mountain.
Then, going to have some rest at el Azahar Park which is situated on a hilly spot in the heart of old historic Cairo and commanding stunning panoramic views of the world's most intriguing city. You will find There also some exquisite restaurants if you prefer to have a meal in front of this great view.
After this tour you will be picked up back to your hotel to stay overnight.
