In the early morning, Checking out, then you will be picked up from your hotel in Cairo by an air conditioned vehicle with our (Seba Tours Egypt) tour guide to travel towards el Menya “around 4 - 5 Hrs. Driving”.
Upon arrival you will start your tour with a visit to the tombs of the nobles at Beni Hassan which are carved in the rock of mountains. There are 39 tombs in this area, the most important are the tombs of Kheti, Baqet, Khnumhotep and Amenemhet. These tombs have great reliefs that depict fishing, hunting, weaving, bird trapping, travel and warfare. You’ll also see rare full frontal face illustrations that are outstanding.
Then going to visit Tell El Amarna where the ruins of the city that was constructed by Akhenaton and his wife Queen Nefertiti built there ”Akhet-Aten” City which means Aten’s Horizon to be the center of the cult of the sun god, Aten. Going to visit the well preserved tombs in this area such the tombs of Ahmose, Huya, Mery-Re I and Ay. These tombs are well decorated and have colorful scenes of King Akhenaton’s in different actions and rituals.
After finishing the day tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel there to check in and stay overnight in Minya.
After Breakfast, Check out, then You will be picked up to visit the Tuna-al Gabal area which was a very important section in the Roman period and it served as a burial site for the town. The site contains burial homes with wall paintings that are very unique because it was created as a mixture of the roman and ancient Egyptian art. The area has many worth visiting tombs like the tomb of Petosiris, the tomb of Isadora, and the tomb of the god Thot ”god of writing and knowledge” who was represented as a baboon.
Then you will start your way back to Cairo by air-conditioned vehicle and dropped off at the hotel upon arrival to stay overnight in Cairo.
