The Ben-Ezra Synagogue
Synagogue of Ben Ezra. This building is also called the El-Genizah Synagogue, which is not what it was first called. The Synagogue of the Palestinian People is another name for it. The Ben Ezra Synagogue is in the historic area of Old Cairo, Egypt. A story says that they brought him here when Mary and Joseph found young Moses.
Saladin Citadel & Mohammad Ali Mosque
In Cairo, above a rocky knoll, stands the renowned Citadel of Saladin. The towering minarets of the Muhammad Ali Mosque, which overlook Old Islamic Cairo and beyond, are visible from here.
Saint George Church
The church was described by Al-Maqrizi in the History of the Patriarchs of the Coptic Church, and it was completed by Athanasius during Ibn Marwan’s reign.
Red Pyramid
