In the morning after breakfast, our (Seba Tours Egypt) Egyptologist tour guide will escort you from your hotel or Nile Cruise in a day tour to visit the landmarks of Aswan, we will begin with a visit to Aswan's High Dam one of the marvels of the modern Egyptian history. It is a rock-fill dam located at the northern border between Egypt and Sudan., and tames the Nile River and utilizes the power of the river for a variety of social and economic causes. .It Contains 18 times the material used in the great pyramid of Cheops.
After that, you will proceed to witness the Unfinished Obelisk which is located on the northern Granite rock Quarries at Aswan. There are theories that this obelisk belongs to Queen to Hatshepsut from the 18th dynasty of the New Kingdom.
This obelisk is disputably the largest stone ever quarried and it weighs around 1168 tons. And from this obelisk , you can learn some of the techniques that were used by the ancient Egyptians to erect obelisks.
Then, you will head the Bank of the Nile river to get into one of the motor boats to sail towards Agilika island to visit the beautiful Temple of Goddess Isis at Philae . The construction of the temple began during the reign of King Ptolemy II, and then other Ptolemaic Kings contributed by adding more parts to the main Temple. It was Saved from a watery grave by UNESCO's rescue project, which transferred the monuments block by block from Philae Island to Agilika Island. And it was dedicated to goddess Isis, the wife of Osiris and mother of Horus.
After ending this magnificent tour around Aswan, you will be driven back to your hotel in Aswan .
